We were heading to LA and we were looking for a brunch spot on the way. One of us wanted breakfast/eggs, the other wanted lunch so it was perfect. This restaurant has great ambiance, not crowded, and the food was good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, this was a very pleasant experience in the middle of Whittier. We will come back, maybe for dinner next time tine!

Came here for my birthday with my husband. The space is beautiful but kind of feels out of place in this area of Whittier. It looks like it belongs in West Hollywood or downtown LA. We ordered their table side short rib pappardelle, calamari, and garlic bread. The calamari and garlic bread were okay, standard and nothing special. The butter that came with their complementary bread was really good though!! Table side short rib pappardelle: the price point is a little high for what it was considering the price of other pasta dishes. The noodles ended up all cut up and looked real messy when they finally served it. It tasted great but just know it's definitely on the richer side so if you're sensitive to these kind of things, beware. Just a side note: I think they should pronounce pappardelle correctly. They pronounced it as pappardel. Tiramisu for dessert and it was the best! Creamy and light. The service was great!!! The person serving up the table side dish didn't seem very enthusiastic and it felt very memorized and scripted. I feel like half the fun of these table side services are the theatrics and wow factor. This one seemed a little lacking. Overall I would recommend and would go back to try different items on their menu.

Came here for the first time to celebrate four years of dating my boyfriend and I got to say I'm impressed! The food was amazing and so tasty. The best part of all was the staff, especially our waitress Jackie! Everyone was so kind and Jackie was super helpful in navigating the menu and giving her recommendations on what's good. We definitely are planning to come back not just for the food, but for the above and beyond service that our waitress and everyone gave us! Five Stars!

I was looking for a nice place to celebrate something special and this was definitely an underrated spot in Whittier ca. The ambience was romantic and dimly lit and it was giving a clean aesthetic . Since my friend was vegetarian we didn't order any meat dishes but they had a good amount of vegetarian options. First off the give you complimentary warm bread with the best seasoned butter which was bread that was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the instead. I loved the fried mozzarella ($12). It was warm, cheesy, and stretchy which paired amazingly with their sweet and tomato acidic marina sauce. We also got the bruschetta ($13) which had perfectly fresh and garlic seasoned tomatoes with fresh hints of basil. I personally wouldn't get this again but it was amazing! We order two cocktail the Peach Bellini($15) and Blackberry bourbon($18). The peach Bellini is a perfectly fruity and sweet drink. I loved the peach gelato on top. The Blackberry Bourbon was perfectly sweet which hints of blackberry and hibiscus and not too sweet which I loved so my friend and I ended up switching drinks. Although they are amazing drinks I personally thought the alcohol content was pretty low but they were still really good. I got the rigatoni a la vodka ($22) which was creamy and cooked with plenty of tomatoes. Personally it wasn't the best rigatoni I had but it's definitely still good and a classic. My friend got the ricotta ravioli with a pesto sauce($24) which was perfectly nutty and really good. The ravioli was filled perfectly to the brim with ricotta so they are definitely not skimpy. We also got Margherita pizza($20) to share which has perfectly cooked crust and fresh basil and big slices of tomatoes. My friend also ordered the garlic bread ($7) but it was basically the same as the complimentary bread they gave except toasted so i wouldn't get it again. The service was a 10/10 as well our waiter was super patient and kind sons it was our first time here and continuously checked on us to see if we liked the food. I will definitely be back here in no time to try some of their non vegetarian items. Truly a perfect and affordable place for the ambiance to celebrate something special.

Modern Italian look and menu with a slighter fancier feel. Good service and table side experience but everything was just decent. + Complimentary bread and herb butter was delicious, warm soft and crispy (8.5/10) + Calamari ($16): light batter, lots of calamari. Spicy marinara sauce wasn't spicy (7/10) + Chicken Caesar Salad ($18): gem lettuce with plain chicken and croutons, nothing special but nice to have (7/10) + Short Rib Pappardelle ($65 for 2): table side service, star of the show! They melt the cheese in the wheel w liquor, toss in house made pappardelle and top with Alfredo sauce, short rib, and Parmesan. Pappardelle was very thin and short rib was tender which I enjoyed. Certain pockets of liquor were too strong for me (7.8/10)

Last year I met a very cool bartender by the name of Carlos. In our conversation he mentioned that he consulted on the cocktail menu for 19Seventy. His description of the drinks sounded amazing, so I immediately bookmarked this place. Owned & operated by the Lascari family, 19Seventy features modern Italian dishes. Michelin star chef Henry Hill adds his creative spin to cherished family recipes. When you walk in the first thing you see is a case filled with beautiful desserts. The restaurant has an open & clean aesthetic and the staff are friendly and attentive, especially Lucia (bartender) who took care of us. Much like Carlos described, the cocktails are creative and some are showstoppers. I requested the Sgroppino and my friend got a bourbon on the rocks. The ice cube for the bourbon was hand cut. My friend was impressed. My cocktail was lovely - a delightful mixture of lemon infused gin & house-made lemon gelato, topped with prosecco. I ordered one of the showstoppers for my second drink - The Kiwi Breeze. It was presented in a smoker, which added a layer of complexity to this tasty concoction. Lucia brought us warm pizza rolls with an herb butter. Both were incredible. We started with the Heirloom Bruschetta. It wasn't served like most restaurants. Instead, the tomato mixture was accompanied with toasted garlic bread, and you assembled it yourself. The tomatoes were fresh & ripe. It was exceptionally good. We shared the Salmon Piccata, which came with garlic mashed potatoes and butter poached asparagus in a lemon butter sauce. It was all delicious. We typically skip dessert but I noticed that you get a free cannoli with Yelp check in, so we redeemed that. The cannoli did not look like a traditional cannoli. It was a pastry tart with cannoli filling decorated with cannoli shells on top. It was yummy! By the end of our meal, we both agreed that even though it is a bit of a drive we would come back. The cocktails and food tasted as good as they looked! *Free cannoli with Yelp check in *Free parking in the lot.
